Traveling Across the Mediterranean

The Mediterranean Ocean Personal Appearance Some general packing tips that would be best for the traveler to Greece would be the same on the mainland and on the islands. You must travel very light because you will mostly be on the move traveling from island to island. You should bring a lot of sunscreen, a pair or two of sunglasses, some hats, plenty of shorts/t shirts and possibly a sweater and a pair of jeans (the nights can get down to 60’). When traveling from island to island you should have a backpack with everything you brought in it. Traveling to Pompeii

Traveling Italy! The City of Pompeii Pompeii is one of the world's most amazing archaeological experiences. You have to understand and comprehend that most of the city wasn't blown away by a fiery volcano, it was actually covered and preserved by a layer of pumice stone. This resulted in one of the most well preserved slices of ancient Italian life. Visitors can see the great work archaeologists have done to preserve the city, you can see the Roman streets, go around and see the  very very old houses, temples, shops, cafes, and even theaters. The Destruction of Pompeii Vesuvius was the volcano that erupted killing 2000 men, women and children in Pompeii. One of the coolest things about Pompeii is that maintenance work is still going on to this day and with technology new discoveries are being unearthed all the time. As of today, only 44 of Pompeii’s 66 acres have been uncovered.
