Going on a Cruise
Cruising the World
Most people love to go on vacations. I mean, who wouldn't. Especially during the winter seasons everyone wants to get away from the cold. So, why not consider going on a cruise during those months, especially in the Caribbean. And it's cheaper then going to most places.
Decisions
When going on a cruise, the first thing you would want to consider, is how long do you want to go for, and where do you want to go to. The past two Decembers 2017 and 2018, I have went on a cruise that lasted Sunday - Saturday so, about 6 days. The cruise itself, cost about $500 and the flight to Fort Lauderdale was about $150 round trip. So, for less then $1,000 for the week you get a all inclusive vacation which on a cruise its food only and lemonade, iced tea, and water. In the morning there is Orange Juice and Apple Juice. The only thing that is not included is special drinks, such as pop, Gatorade, milkshakes, and alcohol.
First Time Cruisers
When you first get on a cruise, everyone has a check in time to get on. Usually it is between 12 and 3 because most ships get ready to go out to sea at 4. And depending on the destination your ship is first going on, it depends on the time you leave port. There is usually more then 1 ship leaving on the day your leaving. One time there was 9 ships and another time there was 7. There could be as many ships as there are ports for them to dock into. After mostly everyone is checked in, there's a certain letter that is on your room key and that is where you are to report to in case of an emergency. So, before setting sail the cruise will go over what is expected, when there is an emergency and you have to go on the life boats. Once this is over, which it usually last 20 minutes, everyone is released to do what ever they want to do.
My Experience
Going on a cruise is basically going island hopping. When I went on my cruise, I went to a total of 4 islands within the 6 days. We traveled overnight, on the first night and the second day was the first day on a island and that's how it was for 4 days with traveling through the night. And day 5 is a full day on the ship, to get back to the home port. Cursing could be fun for anyone, its a nice get away, and it is nice to visit different islands all within a week and for not a expensive price.
Cruise Information
If you want to look into going on a cruise, the one I went on is called Carnival and like I mentioned it is mostly a younger generation cruise that focuses more on entertainment. While if you want to go on a different cruise that focus on food you can try cruises, which is a travel agency.
