The main attraction there is obviously the Atlantic Ocean. You don't get that in the Midwest. From late May to October, the beach is a nice place to go for a swim. With condos and beach front hotels all crowded by the coast, there are plenty of options within walking distance for a place to stay for a week, whether you are a family, possibly a guys trip, and even a girls trip. You could spend anywhere from $34 dollars a night to $200 a night without hurting your pocket too bad compared to visiting big city beaches in Florida. The waves are good for boogie boarding and surfing and there are plenty of piers to fish off of.

Restaurants/Food

Seafood is the obvious choice being by the ocean, with many restaurants containing fresh fish being that close to the ocean. Other food choices include fast food chains, local BBQ, buffets, sports bars, pubs, basically you can find anything off of U.S 17. There's plenty of grocery stores like Food Lion and Walmart if you like cooking at your place also and for stocking up on snacks for the beach, so don't forget to hydrate and load up on food while you are in the hot sun. And drink responsibly with all the liquor and beer available at any store you go too. If you would like to plan ahead on restaurants and plan ahead on where to eat, please visit this website.
