Traveling to Greece

Communications

When visiting Greece, one of the major factors in having a successful and enjoyable visit would depend on your ability to communicate. Communication in Greece shouldn't be that hard, even if you only speak English (most Greeks know enough English). Since Greece is a major place to travel in the world, the locals have learned how to interpret or give good enough explanations to get you what you need. Most importantly, Greeks are very friendly to tourists and even more welcoming when you try to speak the language. Just like in any culture, if you are kind and polite; you will be treated in the same way. On the bad side of things if you are rude and inconsiderate, well let's just say Greeks have a certain way of winning arguments. Over all, ask for help on your trip, be kind, and most of all enjoy yourself and Greece will make sure you have a great time.

Visiting

When visiting the country of Greece, you should be ready to have the time of your life. Islands, churches and historical/archaeological sites are the most visited places in Greece, in fact that's most likely one of the reasons you are traveling there. When going to these different destinations in Greece, you have to realize that one day isn’t enough time to go to all of these places and that you should enjoy each place you go to for a couple of days before hopping to the next place. In order to get to the next place, you are probably going to have to take a boat or a ferry. What’s best to do is plan ahead and buy these tickets before you get to Greece. If you don't plan ahead you should find a tour guide at each place you visit and follow their instructions on navigating your trip in Greece.
